This is big…

I always tell you, big things happen on weekends and holidays.

And here we go!

We always hear about Texas getting ready to secede from the Union, but the latest is Oklahoma.

And it’s looking rather serious!

Watch this:

Every state needs to watch this very closely:

From Fox23:

State Senator Nathan Dahm (R-Broken Arrow) has filed an amendment that would declare Oklahoma as a sovereign state.

If the amendment is passed by the legislature, Oklahomans would vote on the measure during the next election.

“For far too long, the federal government has trampled on state sovereignty,” Dahm said. “This proposal is an attempt to restore balance between the state and the feds.”

In theory, a sovereign state is represented by a singular government. The amendment states that, “The State of Oklahoma is an inseparable sovereign state, a part of the Federal Union known as the United States of America, and the Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the land and any laws to the contrary are null, void, and of no effect in this state.”

The following Press Release contained this additional information:

Sen. Dahm files resolution to amend constitution and declare Oklahoma a sovereign state

OKLAHOMA CITY –Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow, has filed Senate Joint Resolution 2 proposing an amendment to Section 1 Article 1 of the Oklahoma Constitution. If passed by the Legislature, the proposed amendment would be put to a vote of the people in the next election.

“For far too long, the federal government has trampled on state sovereignty,” Dahm said. “This proposal is an attempt to restore balance between the state and the feds.”

The proposed amendment is as follows: “The State of Oklahoma is a sovereign state, a part of the Federal Union known as the United States of America, and the Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the land and any laws to the contrary are null, void, and of no effect in this state.”

“This new language reiterates that the states are not subservient to the federal government,” Dahm said. “The states created the federal government, gave it the power that it does have, and reserved the remainder to themselves.”
